Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was the first to be the first athlete to get a perfect 10 at an Olympic occasion. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at the age of six. She would later become Romania's gymnastics instructor. In 1969, she participated at the Romanian Junior Championships and placed 13th. She won in 1970. In 1972, as part of the communist nations' meet for juniors prior to the Olympic Games, she won three medals of gold. And in 1973, and '74 she was the overall junior champion. She topped Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva, the five-time European Champion, in her debut international senior championship in 1975. At this competition, she received four golds, and a silver. In 1976, she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games. She also was the first female in the history of sport to take off the parallel bars and to use double backwards salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens she was performing on travel shows like Ice Capades as a skater as well as her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol entered the entertainment business in her teenage years. Her first job was as a figure skater performing with her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around that were known as Ice Capades. The show featured dramatized ice skating spectacles.
