Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. Audrey is the largest child of 4 children. Her parents as a dentist and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for drama and theater at the age of a stage novice. The support they provided was more than enough to overcome her original goal of becoming a the first primatologist. Early success and a rapid rise in fame was a sign of her development as an actor. After completing her studies, she was able to participate in Jeunes Premiers which is a French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is that was sponsored by Canal+. There she was awarded the prize for the Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to embark on a professional acting career. While she attended in the Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou is now averse to the Catholic tradition, saying that she's not Catholic. She pursued a modelling career alongside her acting career and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting profession she also has an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some of her photographs during the Arles Film Festival, under the name Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrities, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her rise to fame with Amelie. Additionally, there are a number of photographs featuring herself. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her first big role, starring as the lead in the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a global success in the field of box office, and was awarded awards across the globe. It is the top-grossing French film in America. Following this massive success, Tautou was later cast in many films which included British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
