Katherine Heigl has opened up about her childhood living in "a white bubble." She also explains how this experience has affected her parenting of adopted children who are multi-racial. The actress from "Firefly Lane", revealed to the media that it didn't matter how dark her skin color was to her. However, after meeting her adopted Korean American older sister, she noticed the differences in how people took care of her. Meg was asked if the way she was treated differed in the times they went out with their parents or when they went alone. Meg responded "Oh sure! Every time!" Heigl talked to parents about the moment she realised her naivet . She admitted that she was mad and felt the need to use this anger to help her daughters. Heigl has a four-year old son and a 13-year-old wife, Josh Kelley. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl who adopted in the year 2012.
